Ica, Peru boasts some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Huacachina is a "sand boarding" mecca for adventurers. Huacachina is really an oasis in the middle of the desert with a wonderful lake. Many "boards for rent" shops surround the small town. People grab their boards then walk up to the top of the dune for a quick ride down.
