Diving on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia

Our first dive on the Great Barrier Reef diving just off Lizard Island on Ribbon Reef 10.  The dive was amazing - the coral has amazing colors and the fish are so plentiful and colorful!    My camera just doesn't do justice to the colors - however anaother one of the divers had an HD underwater camera.  Big difference.  The giant clams are the most incredible blue.

But words cannot describe this experience!  I had starting working toward becoming a scuba diver for many months just so I could see the coral and the fish on the Reef.  This is one of the most exciting and challenging thing things I have ever done.

  1. Enjoying your latest adventure. It's almost impossible to capture in a photograph the colors of the underwater world.

I didn't realize until just now where your call home. I was raised in Newbern; then moved to Dyersburg, followed by Memphis. Finally to FL in '91. Still have to go 'home' for a good BBQ fix now & then.

    1. This is too cool. We live in Naples, FL in the winter and Jackson, TN the rest of the year! We love to travel - my email is mec419@gmail.com - please send me an email when you have the time!

Thanks for your comment! Actually - I took diving lessons in Naples just because we were going to the Great Barrier Reef. Elaine
