Chobe Midday River Boat Game Drive 2 - Crocodile eating the dead elephants

The feet of the fish eagle hold down the fish he is eating

Views along the Chobe River on the Botswana side

There is a dead elephant along the river banks on the Namibia side.
The Namibia side is flat and lower.  As a result it tends to flood.  There are several villages and a couple of abandoned resorts.  We find out from our guide that the Namibian villagers crossed the river to drag a dead elephant across.  The tusks have been taken.  But one really horrible thing is that the elephant's entire head is gone.  We later discover the gruesome sight of crocodiles eating the remains of the elephants head.

The powerful jaws of the crocodile chomp down

And the croc is back for more
