Conveniently situated only 3 km from the Mighty Victoria Falls, Mukuni Big 5 Safaris is on the road to Chief Mukuni’s Palace. The road is an all-weather road easily accessed year round. We conduct Elephant rides, Walks with lions and Cheetah. We are also the only Company in Zambia that has a lure system that runs cheetah daily providing not only excellent stimulus for the animals but also great opportunities to see this magnificent animal at its top speed.About Mukuni Big Five
Mukuni Big 5 started in 2009 with Lions and cheetah interaction and expanded to include elephants rides, caracals, soon to be hyena, and a Cheetah Breeding and Volunteer program. With Chief Mukuni being one of the Directors, it also provides a unique cultural background as well. We have an unrivalled view from our reception of the mighty Zambezi River which is the first thing you see before starting on your activities.Mukuni Big 5 Safaris is only one of two companies in Zambia that does Elephant rides and Lion walks and the only company that walks and runs cheetah on a lure. We have also successfully started breeding lions and caracal and have recently released 3 lionesses and 4 caracal into a private reserve. We are also striving to successfully breed Cheetah for the same purpose. Mukuni Big 5 has also started a conservation education program within Livingstone whereby we will be taking one of our Ambassador Cheetah to visit schools. This is in conjunction with our sponsors Toyota Zambia. Mukuni Big 5 also provides free educational visits for all Zambian Schools.
