Notice the American flag flying on the cathedral. The city of Pilsen was celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Liberation from the German's. Patton and troops rolled into Pilsen on May 1, 1945.
Lynyrd Skynyrd band played at the celebration that had just occurred a few days before we were there.
