Family "Campo", Chacabuco Chile

While traveling in the Rio Simpson Valley and in the Pangal region near Puerto Chacabuco, Cile We stopped to visit a 'campo' to see how a local family steers clear of supermarkets by growing their own vegetables and raising cows and sheep. They were very welcoming and eager to share their culture and traditions with us. The family has a spacious 'quincho' or wooden barbecue house built to roast meat and have get-togethers.
