We were sad to leave our home for 22 days - The Oceania Insignia. But happy to back on dry land for a while. We disembarked Oceania and started our 4 day visit in the central coast of Chile.
The landscaped "Welcome to Vina del Mar" clock! ) Flower Clock is a beautiful tourism attraction, maybe one of the most photographed of the city. The flower clock is remarkable due to its particular natural appearance: its numbers and the name of the city are made with colorful and beautiful flowers and plants, which are a symbol of the garden city atmosphere.
Info on Vina del Mar: Vina del Mar, the 'Garden City,' is one of Chile's premier beach resorts, with excellent hotels and shopping. It has grown into Chile's most luxurious beach resort town, attracting visitors from all over the world. Some come for Vina Del Mar 's languid tropical atmosphere, its grand tree lined streets, its vast, soft stretches of white sand beach, and its sybaritic abundance of gourmet restaurants. Vina is famous for the Musical Festival of Vina del Mar, which is held every year in the third week of February and lasts for five days. The population is 287,000. It is a seaside town located 5 miles north of Valparaiso. We are on a private tour through Abercrombie and Kent. Our guide is Piedad Rodriguez.
