The burrows of Magellanic Penguins

Several of the penguins were near their burrows - they simply dig holes in the ground - a very short distance from the shore - and raise their young. They spend almost 8 hours a day hunting in the ocean - so not many were in the burrows.

The park is designed with a boardwalk that is roped off so the visitors can take a tour of the grounds.
