Olivo Olive Orchard, Martinborough Valley, New Zealand

Really enjoyed the different varieties of olive oil at Olivo - but the gardens were also very lovely.  A nice way to break up the day between vineyards are we tour the Martinborough Wine Region just north of Wellington, New Zealand.

Darrell sneeks a read of his newspaper while everyone else is enthralled with the gardens!

Calling all olive lovers and foodies! Don’t miss a tasting of the region’s locally grown and produced gourmet olive oils, and leave some time to wander around the lovely olive grove – about 1200 trees in all. The orchard is the oldest commercial olive grove in the Wairarapa and has 11 acres of olives and 5 acres of garden to explore. The delicious oils are infused with fennel, smoked chilli, orange, vanilla, smoked paprika, lemon, porcini and more.
