One of the "must do" things is Stockholm is to go to the Ice Bar in the Nordic Hotel. Yes - everything is made of ice - the walls, the bar, the seats, the sculptures. And is much worse than freezing - 5 degrees below zero. You are bundled up in a heavy parka with fur hood and gloves. But it is sooo cold.
We have a reservation for 21:00 and take the subway from our hotel. The music is booming and the place is full for a Thursday evening. We get our Absolute vodka drink in an (of course) ice glass. We are supposed to stay for an hour - we make it maybe 20 minutes. Just long enough to make a few photos and look around. Our bartender tells us she stays inside up to 6 hours - can't imagine.
This is by far the coolest thing I've ever seen. No pun intended!
