Impressionism started in Honfleur

Monet visited Honfluer as a young man and saw the way the sunlight reflected from the water. He begun painting "in plien air" (outside) and the era of Impressionism was born. Many art galleries are found in the city today.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of crepes jambon (ham) and salad in an sidewalk cafe alongside the harbor. The coffee is amazing!
